What is Erate?


​E-Rate is a federal program, administered by USAC, designed to subsidize funding for schools and libraries. Discounts can be as high as 90% based on NSLP for the school. All schools and libraries qualify (Public, Charter, Private) with a few limitations (Erate Program).

Internal connections to include; cableing, router, switches, wireless access points, UPS, racks, patch cables
Budgets:
  • Category 1 has no set budget limit
  • Category 2 budgets are based on student count and covers a 5 year period
    • First cycle 2021-2025
      • ​$167 per student / $25,000 minimum
      • Library $4.50 sqft (Tribal $55,000)
    • Second cycle 2026-2030 (FCC Notice)
      • ​$201.57 per student / $30,175 minimum
      • Library $5.43 sqft (Tribal $66,385)
